Pear,Cheese and Walnut Tart

This recipe is the perfect combination of elegance and ease. Made with juicy pears, creamy cheese, a hint of spice, and crunchy toasted walnuts, all nestled in a flaky puff pastry crust, this tart is sure to impress your guests. The best part? About Me

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Toasted walnuts, for sprinkling
  • Egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon milk or water


Method:

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet and lay it flat on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  • Arrange the thinly sliced pear on top of the cheese, creating a single layer or overlapping slightly.
  • Brush the exposed edges of the puff pastry with the egg wash.
  • Bake the tart for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove the tart from the oven and drizzle with honey to taste. Sprinkle generously with toasted walnuts.
  • Let the tart cool slightly before transferring it to a cutting board and slicing into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
